Homework Help
Students can receive help with their homework assignments in all subjects. Support with study skills and guidance for how to study is also homework help. This can be done in person, virtually, or via telephone.
FEES:
Group tutoring with 2 or more. $45.00 per hour per student/ (This is for families who want simultaneous support for siblings.)
Individual 1:1 $60.00 per hour in person $50.00 per hour virtually or by phone
Reading or Math Remediation
Does your child struggle to keep up in math or reading? Have you been told your child is below grade level expectations? If so, support can be provided to fill the gaps that are interfering with success and help them reach their grade level abilities. This can include supporting goals per an IEP or students who have gaps and are in RtI. It is also for students who have not been placed in school intervention, but need more than they are receiving in the school setting.
FEES:
Individual: $65.00 for full hour, in person only.
Organization
When your child comes home do they have a plan for getting their work done or is their back pack a place where everything is out of control and they feel overwhelmed? Can your child manage time for projects and be prepared to turn assignments in on time? Time management and organization skills are not taught in school, but are vital to success in the classroom.
FEES:
Initial consultation: Includes overview of situation, support with academic scheduling, planner support, and guidance for time management. $85.00
If student needs weekly support with planning that is needed to remain organized, coaching/mentoring may be the answer and can be provided after the initial consultation.
Student Coach & Mentor
If your child needs extra encouragement and support as a student, a coach/mentor can help. This provides your student with someone to check in with daily about their day, their assignments, expectations, and how to create habits for learning that last a lifetime. These can be quick daily check ins and support, or weekly in person support. Even those students who are on grade level or above can benefit from a check in to be sure they are on track with the expectations for their success. This does not include homework help or tutoring. It does include monitoring the students assignments and due dates and providing reminders as needed. This would require access to student’s online course/grade book or student would need to provide written information provided by teachers.
FEES:
Individual: Fee is $125.00 weekly and includes unlimited texts, phone calls and video chats as needed throughout the week. Availability for texting is not within any specific hours, however, phone calls and video chats will be scheduled when teacher, student, and parent are available. This is not for homework help, remediation, or organization. This support is about providing another adult who knows the school system for the student to receive encouragement and guidance as needed. Parents can be included in all texts and reminders to students.
